Stanley Jacobs won first on Board 4. On the middle two boards Jason Covey won when his opponent went wrong in a drawn king-and-pawn ending, and Chris Rogal won on his LOCL debut after his opponent blundered his g6 pawn.
The grades made us strong favourites from the start, but they all count! Well done to the team for getting off the mark!
There was no Hendon A match tonight, as it was a rest week for the Open division. Next week we are back to having both Hendon A and Hendon B matches on the same night. Full schedule may be found in our calendar.
