We are delighted to announce that IM Lorin D’Costa, a popular figure on the English chess scene and a long-time friend of Hendon Chess Club, will be giving a simultaneous display on Thursday 21st March at our home venue, the Cumberland Club.
The event will start at 7:30pm. There will be an entry fee of £20 per player, in aid of Lorin’s non-profit organisation She Plays to Win, which aims to popularise chess among women and girls.
Those of you who attended Lorin’s previous simul in 2022 will know how special these events can be!
Places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis, with priority being given to Hendon members until 14th March; non-members will receive confirmation of whether their application has been successful after that date. (Anyone who would like to join the club for this event is of course welcome to do so!)
