It was a perfect evening for WCM Gankhulug Khaliunaa, who swept aside the competition to win the November Hendon FIDE Blitz with a magnificent 6/6, finishing a full point clear of her nearest rivals.
The six-round tournament, held on Thursday 5 November at Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club, attracted 45 entries for another enjoyable evening of fast and furious chess.
Playing at the unforgiving time control of 10 minutes per player, with no increment, Khaliunaa demonstrated impressive consistency to emerge as the only player with a maximum score.
AIM Ethan Sanitt and Yishai Epstein-Lightman shared second place, both finishing on an excellent 5/6.
There was also a closely contested battle for the Best Hendon Member prize, with David Amior and Mohammad Hossein Mozaffari sharing the honours on 4½/6.
| Place | Player(s) | Score | Prize |
