The Club Championship is in the balance after the penultimate round, with four players now sharing the lead on 4/5!
Armaan Nilim and Jonathan Rubeck drew in their long-awaited clash on top board, which gave others a chance to catch up. Six players from the chasing pack were in action this evening, and Alex Funk and David Amior both won to join the leaders.
The title will be decided in the final round. There’s a substantial chance that tie-breaks will be needed to decide the champion, especially if the recent trend of draws on the top boards continues. However it’s very much possible that one of the leaders will come through in the crunch and win outright.
