We are pleased to announce the 2023 Hendon Chess Club Championship!
The tournament will be a six-round ECF-rated Swiss, played over six Thursday evenings: June 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th, July 13th and 20th. It will be a standard-play tournament with a time limit of 45 minutes per player plus an increment of 30 seconds per move.
Each round will start at 7:30pm at our venue, The Cumberland Club (25 Alvanley Gardens, London NW6 1JD).
There will be a single section. The winner will be the 2023 Club Champion; the David Jones Cup will be won by the highest player rated under 1675 ECF.
In the event of a tie for any prize, tie-breaks will be applied in the following order:
Players may request up to two half-point byes in any of rounds 1–5, and any number of zero-point byes, provided you notify us in advance.
In order to enter you must be both a member of Hendon Chess Club (join here) and a member of the ECF at Bronze level or higher (join here).
