The FIDE Blitz returns with a bang!

Friday 15 October, 2021

Our first FIDE-rated blitz tournament since March 2020 was held at the Holly Bush last night. It was great to see the return of this event after a long COVID-enforced absence, with a near-capacity crowd!

The tournament was won by Nicolas Mohnblatt, ahead of two Candidate Masters. Congratulations! Many thanks to everyone who played, and to Adam Raoof for organising.

We intend to return to our traditional practice of running these tournaments on the first Thursday of each month, though we’re not quite sure when that will happen just yet: it won’t be possible in November as we don’t have a venue booking that day.

Please keep an eye on our events calendar for news of future tournaments!
