Remy Rushbrooke wins April Blitz!

Last night, our first FIDE Blitz at the Cumberland Club took place! It was great to see the event run in a larger venue; our new home seemed to meet with universal approval!

The tournament was won by Remy Rushbrooke with 5½/6, with Stanley Badacsonyi close behind on 5/6. Top Hendon players were Salvatore Pepe, Chris Rogal, Martin Wylde and myself with 3/6.

In total, 23 players participated. This was a pretty normal number, which would have been a capacity crowd at our previous venue, but the Cumberland Club can hold a lot more players, so we will aim to significantly widen participation from May onwards!
