Match Report by Adam Raoof

If this match were a game of chess, you could sum it up as follows – a good opening (1-0: a 21 move win for me on bottom board after my opponent suffered a self-induced catastrophe in a reasonable position), followed by a cautious early middlegame advantage (Dan looked like he had a great attack, and Tomer sacced piece in the middle of the board which his opponent couldn’t capture), a breakthrough in the late middlegame (3-0: Tim’s opponent went astray in what to the onlookers may have been a much better position) and a successful transition to an overwhelming ending (4.5-0.5: David won us the match in a fantastically complicated game, which he preferred to win in the traditional style despite his opponent’s mobile phone going off at a critical juncture).

And on this performance the Hendon Lions would all be graded about 220!
