Our rapidplay team lost a tight match to league leaders Athenaeum, who are now
almost certain to become this year’s champions. With two matches left to play,
they lead the City of London Rapidplay League by 1½ match points. Mushrooms beat
Cavendish to join Hendon in 2nd place.
